Biography

Program Director and Associate Professor Tyra D. Stalling is an Alumni of Dalton State College and graduated from the Medical Laboratory Technology Program when the college was named Dalton College.   As a recent graduate of the MLT program, she returned to school to obtain her Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology through the Medical College of Georgia distant program first offered in conjunction with Dalton College.  Tyra was one of the first classes to graduate in the MCG distant learning program. Tyra joined the college as a part-time instructor in the phlebotomy program in 1999 and then joined as a teaching faculty Assistant Professor January 2002 as an instructor in teh phlebotomy and Medical laboratory Technology programs.  Later, after receiving her Masters (Masters of Health Science/Public Health) in Emergency and Disaster Management from Touro University, Tyra was appointed as Program Director for the Medica Laboratory and Phlebotomy Programs in 2005.
